Who deals with people with mental health issues?

Mental Health issues are very commonplace in Britain and the chances are that if you have a customer-facing job you'll come across people who are dealing with mental health issues fairly frequently. Knowing how to deal with these people can make your life - and theirs - a lot easier.

Our approach to mental health awareness

Sometimes all you need is a little awareness about what mental health issues are and the best principles for dealing with them to make a significant shift in behaviours.

Note that this course isn't training in how to treat these issues, or mental health first aid - this is training in how to recognise the most common forms of mental health issues and the basic ways of doing your job while dealing with them.

What can I do about mental health issues?

Given the nature of mental health, the things you can do vary tremendously depending on your job and the people you come into contact with.

In this training we take a practical and elegant approach - but one which is somewhat customised to the circumstances of clients: as such we don't offer this course on an 'open' basis - but instead provide it in-house to organisations who need it. We also ask that course attendees have broadly similar roles so that the training can be structured appropriately.

Who is this training aimed at?

Typical clients would be larger organisations with a large, client-facing workforce, such as NHS trusts or housing associations. We can customise the training for almost any client-facing organisation however.

If that's made you curious about this training, tell us about the mental health awareness needs you have.
