You need to be &#8216;in the room&#8217;, not worrying about what&#8217;s going to happen after you leave the room. \u00a0If you get the former right, the latter will take care of itself.<\/li>\n<li>humour can be remarkably effective at getting your audience on your side!<\/li>\n<li>audiences are generally on your side in the first place&#8230; even if they don&#8217;t want to be there it&#8217;s rare they actually want to see you screw up!
