The last blog on this site was about the storyline of your presentations and how to memorize what you’re saying next.
That reminded me of a really bad presentation I say through recently in which the presenter used the words “And another thing” to move on to her next bullet-point. Let’s face it, if the only way you can move from one bullet-point to another is with that phrase, you’ve probably not exactly got a best seller on your hands, have you!
Check your presentation out – if it doesn’t flow, if it doesn’t have an easy, obvious way to move from one point to another – ask yourself if the points you’re chaining together really should be chained together. It’s got to flow, folks, not just so you can remember it more easily but so that your audience can remember it!
